Zimbabwean-born comedian, Learnmore Jonasi, also known as Long John, won a golden buzzer for his laughter trickling performance at the America’s Got Talent show, taking him to the live shows stage.
His performance, taking resonance of his life background story in Chimanimani, attracted AGT judges who laughed their lungs out during his intriguing performance, leading to him being one of the contestants going to the live shows.
Posting on X, Jonasi confirmed his recent delights that drew admiration from his idol and host of AGT, Terry Crews who also took to X, to appreciate Jonasi’s performance.
“Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I won the Golden Buzzer,” Jonasi said.
One of the show’s judges, Howie Mandel also took to X , to praise the Zimbabwean’s talent.
“You make AGT a better place. Thank you for the laughs, Learnmore Jonasi,” Howie Mandel said.
The comedian will return to perform at the live shows, a step towards the major trophy, with his recent exploits, making him one of the title contenders.
