The popular Carling Black Label National Pool Tournament is back for its eleventh year, targeting a record-breaking twenty-six competition centres across all ten provinces of Zimbabwe. The grand finale will be held in Harare, the country's capital.

This long-running tournament, co-organized by Carling Black Label and the Zimbabwe Pool Association , aims to expand its reach and popularity this year. Players conveniently registered beforehand via WhatsApp or USSD, with regional tournaments kicking off on June 1st, 2024.

"We're thrilled to see the Carling Black Label National Pool Tournament gaining even more traction amongst our consumers," said a representative from Carling Black Label. "This year, we're excited to provide a platform for talented pool players across all of Zimbabwe's provinces."

Attractive prizes await the top competitors, with the champion taking home a cool USD 2,500 and a brand new pool table. Runners-up will also be handsomely rewarded, with USD 1,500 for second place, USD 1,000 for third, and USD 500 for fourth.

The tournament organizers prioritized referee development this year. A collaborative training seminar with ZIPA saw over 50 referees from all ten provinces attend. The seminar focused on modern pool game rules, ensuring consistent and fair officiating across all regional competitions.
