Mike Chimombe and Moses Mpofu are set to appear in court this afternoon
The duo stands accused of fraud over the Presidential Goat Scheme
The two socialites are alleged to have failed to meet contractual provisions where they were paid ZWL1.6 billion eqquivalent to US$40 million to deliver goats but diverted the money to their own use.
Mpofu has since issued a statement saying that he only received a cumulative amount equivalent to US$4.2 million and delivered 5000 goats.
He has also exonerated Chimombe saying the latter is not in any way involved with Backdeck, the company that is at the centre of the case.
