Two drugs dealers arrested

Two drug dealers have been arrested after being found in possession of marijuana and bottles of an illicit cough syrup.

Kudakwashe Shoriwa, 45, was arrested by detectives from Drugs and Narcotics for unlawful possession of 1.1 kilogrammes of dagga in Harare.

Austin Munoti, 42, was arrested at Zengeza 3 in Chitungwiza for unlawful possession of three boxes containing 50x100mls bottles of Broncleer cough syrup.

Police have arrested thousands for drug dealing and possession since a war on drugs was declared several months ago.

In his address during the recent launch of the Multi Sectorial Drug and Substance Abuse Plan, President Mnangagwa said that the country’s security agencies will remain on high alert to curb and enforce laws relating to drug abuse.

“The country’s security agencies will remain on high alert. Those found distributing drugs & illicit substances will face the full wrath of the law. Communities should shun individuals who are distributing drugs and share intelligence information with law enforcement “, said the president
