Bulawayo Labour Court judge dies after short illness

Bulawayo Labour Court Judge Mercy Moya-Matshanga passed away after a short illness this Wednesday.

She was 61.

In a statement the Judicial Service Commission said Moya-Matshanga passed on at Corporate 24 in Bulawayo where she had been rushed after collapsing at home.

The JSC said mourners are gathered at number 5 David Bernard, Waterford Bulawayo and funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

Moya-Matshanga studied Law at the University of Zimbabwe and graduated in 1988.

She joined the Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs as a public prosecutor in 1989, through the ranks and became a Chief Law Officer in 2001 and a judge of the Labour Court of Zimbabwe in 2006.
