Seed Co Limited Announces New Board Appointments

Seed Co Limited, a leading player in Africa's agricultural sector, has announced key changes to its board of directors, marking a new era for the company.

 The developments include the retirement of prominent board members and the appointment of two distinguished professionals. New Non-Executive Director: Nicholas Charles Bennett Nicholas Charles Bennett has joined the Seed Co Limited board as a Non-Executive Director, effective November 22, 2024. 

Nominated by the Limagrain Group, Bennett replaces Mr. Regis D. A. Fournier. Bennett brings a wealth of international experience, having worked for 15 years in the seeds and agri-chemical industry. He has a strong track record in business leadership, strategy development, and organizational transformation.

 Previously, Bennett served as Managing Director Asia-Pacific for Limagrain, and held various leadership roles at Syngenta, including Interim Business Unit Head for Asia-Pacific. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Horticulture from the University of Western Sydney, Australia.

 New Executive Director, Tineyi Chatiza Tineyi Chatiza has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Seed Co Limited, effective December 1, 2024. 

Chatiza succeeds Mr. John Matonofa and brings extensive experience in financial management and corporate strategy. Chatiza is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Registered Public Accountant in Zimbabwe. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honors) in Finance and Banking from the University of Zimbabwe and a Diploma in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe. 

His career includes senior positions in both banking and finance, with a strong focus on driving growth and managing risk. Seed Co Limited expressed heartfelt gratitude to outgoing board members, Mr. Regis D. A. Fournier and Mr. John Matonofa, for their contributions to the company's success and growth in Africa. 

The board remains optimistic about the future, emphasizing the importance of its new leadership in driving innovation and sustaining the company's legacy as a leader in agricultural development.
