A 36-year-old man has appeared before the Harare Magistrates' Courts facing charges of theft of trust property after allegedly selling a complainant's car without permission.

The State, represented by prosecutor Loveti Muringwa, alleges that on October 4, Mashiri lent the complainant US$1,500 and accepted the complainant's Honda Fit, valued at US$8,000, as collateral.

However, by the end of November 2024, the accused allegedly sold the car without the owner's knowledge or consent.

The accused was granted bail set at US$100 as the case continues.
