Brighton Ushendibaba, a dynamic contender for the ZIFA executive board member position, has unveiled his ambitious plans to transform Zimbabwean football. With a focus on grassroots development, women's empowerment, and infrastructure improvement, Ushendibaba is determined to leave a lasting legacy in the sport.

"My brief is to develop football in Zimbabwe and to widen the net so that everyone benefits," Ushendibaba emphasized, his passion for the sport radiating like a bright beacon. He believes that developing football from primary school level up to the last level is crucial for the sport's growth. His recent trip to the Midlands, where he met with local councillors, was an eye-opener, and he is eager to apply the lessons learned to drive positive change.

Ushendibaba's vision for women's football is nothing short of revolutionary. "I want to improve the welfare of the girl child," he declared. "Girls should be getting equal salaries as their male counterparts." He envisions a future where girls and boys are rated equally, and women have more opportunities to participate and succeed in the sport.

To achieve his vision, Ushendibaba plans to leverage his business connections to develop infrastructure, particularly stadia. He also stressed the importance of well-funded football programs in schools and rural areas. Having grown up in rural Zimbabwe, Ushendibaba understands the challenges faced by young players in these areas. His donation of a bus to Chitsa Primary school last year demonstrates his commitment to supporting rural football development.

As Zimbabwe prepares for the ZIFA elections on January 25, Ushendibaba's message of transformation and inclusivity resonates with the football community. With his business acumen, passion for grassroots development, and commitment to women's empowerment.
