Zim Now witnessed the Deputy Sherriff collect various items from Murowa’ corporate HQ offices in Newlands today.

A source said the litigant is Introwise catering. A senior official at the firm declined to comment saying that they would get in touch with Zim Now tomorrow.

The source said this could be the start of a run on Murowa’s assets as there are a number of creditors owed large sums.

Murowa’s Zvishavane operations got disrupted when electricity was cut off last week over a debt exceeding $4 million.

The diamond miner which had its back accounts garnished by Zimra over tax debts has also been battling to pay salaries with workers still owed as far back as October 2024.

A source at the mine revealed that workers attached to some Murowa contractors have since downed tools saying they have not been receiving their salaries since the mine is failing to pay for services.

There has been no statement from Murowa Diamonds. Rio Zim group spokesperson Mr Wilson Gwatiringa, declined to respond to questions.
