Zaka duo on the run after murdering suspected thief

Police are looking for two men from Zaka who assaulted a suspected thief to death.

“Paul Mukorera, 36, and Ishmael Mutandwa, 28, reportedly assaulted an unidentified male adult (approximately 32) with wooden logs all over the body for allegedly stealing unmentioned property,” said the police in a statement.

The assault occurred in the early hours of Saturday November 26, at around one o’clock in the morning at Hudube Village, Zaka, the police said.

The victim’s body with bruises all over was discovered about four hours later around five o’clock the same morning near Tadzivinirwa Village, Zaka.

The body was taken to Musiso Hospital for post mortem.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information on the whereabouts of the fugitives to report at any nearest Police Station.
