A 39-year-old man, Tigors Tyron Seigfried, was arrested by the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Bulawayo for the unlawful possession of 1,900 grams of crystal meth.
The drugs were discovered at Seigfried's residence in Chemford, Matshehlope.
The drug, known locally as “mutoriro” or “guka,” has gained popularity, especially during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
It is now estimated that around 30% of young people in Zimbabwe are using crystal meth, a trend that has led to numerous social and health challenges.
