US$20,000 heist: Armed robbers hit Harare business

A daring robbery occurred on Tuesday at Fuser Tech in Eastlea, Harare, where six armed robbers made off with cash and equipment worth US$20,000.

According to Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, the robbers used a wooden ladder to climb over the precast wall and gain access to the premises.

Once inside, the thieves stole various laptops, computer tablets, and cellphones from the storeroom before proceeding upstairs to an office, where they found US$13,500 in cash hidden in a drawer.

The total value of the stolen goods and cash amounts to US$20,000, Insp Chakanza confirmed.
