The Zimbabwe Republic Police has launched its 2025 recruitment exercise, inviting applications from Zimbabwean citizens aged between 18 and 22 to join as general duty constables. Successful candidates will undergo a two-year diploma program in police studies at Mkushi Police Academy, an affiliate of the University of Zimbabwe.

Applicants must possess a minimum of five Ordinary Level passes, including mathematics, English, and a science subject, obtained in no more than two sittings. Physical fitness is key, with specific height and weight requirements: at least 1.68m and 59kg for males and 1.62m for females with weight proportional to height. All candidates must be able to complete a 5km road run within 20 minutes for males and 25 minutes for females.

Application letters, handwritten and between 450 and 450–500 words, must be submitted in person along with certified copies of ID and academic qualifications to the nearest police station by 29 April 2025.
