Dispute ends in fatal shooting

A Harare man who was present at the scene where another was shot dead has been denied bail.  

Nyasha Eusen, 25, of Samora Machel Avenue, Harare who appeared in court this Friday on murder charges was placed on remand until 15 December.

Eusen appeared at the Harare Magistrates' Court facing charges as defined in Section 47 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23.

The case against Eusen is that on 19 November 2022 around 2130 hours, along Carruthers Avenue, Eastlea, Harare, he was in the company of some other people.

Eusen had a misunderstanding with Nyarai Round over a yet to be established issue.

One of the accused persons pulled out an unidentified pistol and shot the Round on the head.

Round is believed to have died instantly from the injuries sustained.

Eusen and his team drove off from the scene in a Toyota Allion. The other people who were with Eusen have been declared accomplices in the murder and are still at large.
