President Enmmerson Mnangagwa has reassigned former Central Intelligence Organisation boss Aaron Nhepera from the Ministry of Home Affairs nad Cultural Heritage to the Ministry of Defence and War Veterans Affairs as Permanent Secretary.
Announced Nick Mangwana in a tweeted message: “His Excellency President [Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa] has appointed Mr. Aaron Nhepera as the new Secretary for Defence. He has been moved from [the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage]. He is a former Deputy Director General in the President’s Office.”
He was replaced at Home Affairs by former Health and Child Care Permanent secretary Gerald Gwinji.
Dr Gwinji joined the Zimbabwe National Army as Medical Officer, and he rose through the ranks to become Senior Medical Officer and later Permanent Secretary in the health Ministry.
