Ex-Criminal Investigations Department officer, Jaison Muvhevhi, who is facing murder charges has been transferred from the eastern border city of Mutare.
It was not immediately clear whether he was being transferred to Mashonaland East Province, where he allegedly committed the crimes, or Harare.
Muvhevhi was arrested in Mozambique yesterday morning after being on the run since Friday when he shot dead three people, including a senior police officer, in Wedza.
The ex-CID officer is being transported under heavy police guard.
