London Alternative Investment miner Contango Holdings says it is on course to start coal production in Q1 2023 at its Lubu Coal Project in Hwange following arrival of key components of the plant.
“Construction of our CGO wash plant is now 75% complete. Upon completion, crushing and screening will also be installed,” Contango announced in a recent announcement.
The firm also indicated that production is expected to start next month.

Production target is set at 20,000 tonnes of washed coking coal per month with Contango eyeing the export markets.
Last year Contango Holdings entered into a nonbinding MoU with a multinational company with respect to its Muchesu coal project.
