Primary and Secondary Education ministry Permanent Secretary, Tumisang Thabela has said there will be no extra lessons over the school holidays in order to afford learners adequate rest.
Thabela said the ministry came to the decision because lessons were not interrupted during the term.
Covid-19 lockdowns that were imposed from 2020 to 2021 led to the closure of schools and suspension of face-to-face learning.
“This decision is informed by the fact that lessons have not been interrupted this term hence the need to give pupils time to rest,” said Thabela.
