A Stoneridge Park man, who is alleged to have sold a car he had been given by his ex-lover during good days, has appeared in court.
Cornelius Rudziva, 39, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi at the Harare Magistrates’ Court charged with theft of trust property.
The State, through Zororai Nkomo, alleges that on December, 8, 2023 in Belvedere, the complainant in this matter, Philistus Mutambirwa gave Rudziva, who was her boyfriend, a Honda Fit since he did not have a car.
The two later went their separate ways, leading Mutambirwa to demand her car back.
The State alleges that, Rudziva did not return the car back to Mutambirwa.
She made various efforts to get her car back from her former lover to no avail, leading to her reporting the matter to the police.
Rudziva was arrested and from the investigations that were done by the police it was discovered that the car had been sold with Mutambirwa’s consent and is yet to be recovered.
The sold car had a value of US$6 400.
Mangosi postponed the matter to Monday17 April.

I am beginning to believe this story after the guy failed to deliver a lightbox that we fully paid him for 1 year ago. Now he is in the UK he has gone silent after a lot of bulls*t promises!
