Mystery shrouds the death of a Chitungwiza man at the home of a prominent prophet where his body was found with some body part missing, thereby raising speculation that he may have been murdered for ritual purposes.

The incident was discovered on Sunday, June 25, with the mouth, nose, ears and one eye said to have been removed from the late Morgan Tsoka’s body.

A day before discovery of the murder, Tsoka of House Number 3311 Nhaudzao Street, Unit D, Seke, Chitungwiza left his home in the company of the prominent prophet popularly known as “Boss Gina”, heading for Mahusekwa.

Sources said the two were close friends and Madzibaba Gina had requested the deceased watch over his rural home as he and his wife were travelling to Bulawayo.

When the couple returned a day later, they hooted at the gate for Tsoka to open up, but there was no response. As they entered the dining room, whose door was wide open, they found his mutilated body and a report was made to police.

A neighbour, Brighton Huchi, said they were still waiting for Tsoka’s relatives from Rusape and Bulawayo so that burial and related arrangements could be made.

He leaves behind a partner, Patience Taisi, and an eight-day old baby. In a twist further complicating matters, the Taisi was yet to get introduced to Toska's  family. The couple had been co-habiting since February 2022.

Efforts to get a comment from Madzibaba Gina were fruitless as his phone was not reachable.
