Exam paper seller posts exam in progress on WhatsApp?

A person who is claiming to have all 2022 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council Ordinary Level examinations papers available for sale posted an exam paper sample saying it is the one that O Level candidates were facing in the English language exam at that moment.

This comes a day after Zimsec confirmed leak of one of the Mathematics papers.

When Zim Now reached out on number 0717496130 the user said that the papers are all available for ZWL$10 000 via Ecocash paid into One Money with reference 123.

As the transaction is entering a One Money wallet, the sender does not get an identification details for the receiver.

When Zim Now refused to pay that amount without proof of existence of the paper, the purported seller then posted the English paper on the group where the papers are being advertised.

Zimnow forwarded the paper to ZIMSEC for confirmation during the time the exam was still in progress.

Zim Now is awaiting further response from Zimsec spokesperson Nicky Dhlamini who said she needs to verify whether it is the genuine article.

A few weeks ago there were social media adverts of alleged exam paper sales and Zim Sec denied breaches in their system.

Zimsec has suffered exam leaks before with some individuals being convicted and sentenced.
