A 24-year-old man, Kisto Manyause, was stabbed to death with an okapi knife on both shoulders at a house in Fortune Park, Mberengwa yesterday in a conflict over a 15-year-old lover.
Police confirmed the incident on their X handle.
“Police in Mberengwa have arrested John Ray Zulu, 18, in connection with a case of murder in which Kisto Manyause, 24, died after being stabbed with an okapi knife on both shoulders at a house in Fortune Park, Mberengwa on 17/09/23.
“The suspect and the victim were dating the same teenager, 15,” said police.
Meanwhile, police in Chegutu are investigating a case of murder in which a woman was found dead with a deformed head at Muguti Farm yesterday.
“The victim’s son, 6, and daughter, 8 months, were found at the scene. Investigations by the police have established that the victim and her children had travelled from Nhowe, Norton to sell fish at the farm,” police said in a statement.
The police appealed to anyone with information to report at any nearest police station.
