Three men, who allegedly raped two complainants and invited other men to sleep with them for money, have appeared in court.

Travolta Muchemeni, 24, Kudzai Muchemeni, 26 and Misheck Mavhima, 29, of Crowbrough Phase 2, appeared before magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts.

The three were placed on remand and will appear in court on October 24.

The complainant in this matter is a 17-year-old woman.

The State, through prosecutor Pardon Dziva, alleges that on October 21, the three lured the complainant, together with her friend, who has not been located yet and later abducted them.

They allegedly took the phones of the complainants for them not to communicate with their relatives.

After that, the State alleges that they raped them.

Muchemeni, who appeared to be the ring leader, looked for other men to rape the complainants and would get money on return.
