Namaste is a traditional Hindu greeting in which one puts their hands together, fingers up, at chest level, and bows to the other person while pronouncing the word “Namaste”.
A loose translation of the Sanskrit word means “I bow to you”. The greeting has become a modern world-wide tradition and is generally meant to convey greetings, respect and benevolence to the recipient.
India and Zimbabwe have centuries old ties and have enjoyed cordial relations in all that time.
