Team Zimbabwe is having a great outing in Malawi at the AUSC Region 5, harvesting gold medals and writing history.

The tennis team got all six out of a possible six gold medals, afirst in the tournament's history.

The boys’ volleyball team soundly beat South Africa to win the gold medal.

According to the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts and Recreation, the Volleyball team has become the first Zimbabwean of the discipline to win gold since the inception of the AUSC Region 5 sports extravaganza.

"#OneTeamOneSpirit They came, played, conquered and broke records!!! The future is bright," said the Ministry on their Twitter handle.

Linnete Zemba

Linnete Zemba won a gold medal in the 100-meter hurdle event and has qualified for Africa Games 2023.

The girls’ netball team contributed a Bronze Medal to Team Zimbabwe's tally.
