Man nabbed for possessing dagga

A man, who was allegedly caught with dagga, has been taken to court.

Tinotenda Tsuro, 24, of Western Triangle, Highfield in Harare, appeared before magistrate Ruth Moyo at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with possession of dagga.

The State, through prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi, alleges that on February 15, at around 1730 hours, a team of police officers from Harare Central Police Station, were informed that, Tsuro was in possession of dagga at Copacabana Bus Terminus in Harare.

They allegedly went to the area and saw Tsuro standing and holding a rod of dagga.

The police officers approached Tsuro, introduced themselves and told him the purpose of their visit and he consented.

They did a body search on Tsuro and seized 90 rods of dagga from his pocket.

Tsuro was subsequently arrested.
