Karikoga Kaseke has died.
The Herald announced the death of the former Zimbabwe Tourism Authority CEO who retired from his position after prolonged sick leave following a stroke in 2018.
One of his wives, Irene Kaseke confirmed Karikoga Kaseke's death at a Harare hospital where he was admitted.
Kaseke’s other wife is former Zanu-PF Kuwadzana MP Betty Nhambu-Kaseke.
In 2010 Kaseke was injured in a road crash in Banket while in the company of some models. Under his reign at one time, ZTA tokk custody of the Miss Zimbabwe pageant.
Kaseke had many children and in 2017 was issued with a warrant of arrest after accruing $142 500 in maintenance arrears since July 2009.
The complainant in the case was Kaseke's niece Beverly Mujuru who had been under his custody as a school going child before being impregnated by Kaseke.
Mujuru said that Kaseke had ignored a court order issued in 2009 to pay $1500 monthly for the upkeep of the pair's child, who had special needs.
A family representative said details of funeral arrangements will be released in due course.
