Club Zone owner, Blessed  Kazembe, popularly  known as JB in  entertainment circles last Friday caused a stir at Casino Marina Harare, located at LongCheng Mall, following a brawl with another casino patron.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 1am when Kazembe got into an altercation with another client identified as Marlon over a gambling dispute.

The two men Kazembe and Marlon started fighting and Marlon overpowered Kazembe.

Security intervened and escorted both men out of the casino to resolve their dispute.

However, the situation escalated when Kazembe, who was agitated by brawl defeat, retrieved a pistol from his vehicle and threatened casino security and patrons.

Marlon was given sanctuary back at Casino Marina by security personnel who feared Kazembe would shoot Marlon in his feat of rage.

Eyewitnesses reported that Kazembe brandished the gun and demanded security allow him back into the casino to find Marlon whom he said he wanted to deal with while shouting obscenities.

When Casino Marina security refused him entry, Kazembe dramatically corked his loaded gun and Casino Marina security personnel fled the entrance and took to the ground.

“Casino Marina security tried to reason with JB (Kazembe) to stop his violent actions and when they denied him entry he corked his loaded gun in anger.

“The two security officers blocking the gate dispersed in fear and lay on the ground while he stormed in the club waiving his loaded gun shouting obscenities and asking for Marlon’s whereabouts.

“Other Casino Marina patrons and employees fled in panic after they saw he was carrying a firearm and there was pandemonium,” said one of the eye witnesses, who preferred anonymity.

Prior to Kazembe storming back to Casino Marina to unleash his orgy of violence, security called for backup and five hired bouncers arrived about 45 minutes later after the brawl between Kazembe and Marlon.

The bouncers assaulted security personnel at the entrance before forcing their way into the casino.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the group then proceeded to threaten other patrons inside the casino while searching for Marlon.

“The bouncers beat up everyone and anyone they could lay their hands on including employees and clients asking for Marlon’s whereabouts.

Police which had been called in to bring the situation under control were told by Kazembe and his bouncers that Kazembe was a member of the first family which made the police reluctant to arrest him for his criminal conduct.

President Emerson Mnangagwa has in recent times called for action against name droppers including himself ,his family and other top government officials

Casino Marina later filed a police report which is currently being investigated.

Contacted for comment Kazembe couldn't confirm or deny the allegations
