Annatoria has won the prestigious Best Gospel Act award at the 2025 MOBO Awards, held at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on February 18, 2025.

This win is a significant achievement in her career, marking her impact on both the UK and global gospel music scene.

The MOBO Awards celebrate excellence in Black music and culture, spanning genres like gospel, R&B, hip-hop, and jazz. For Annatoria, this award is not just a recognition but also a reflection of her dedication to gospel music.

Over the past year, she has pushed boundaries by blending Afrobeats, R&B, and contemporary worship influences into her gospel music.

Her win at the MOBOs further elevates UK gospel music, showcasing its growing influence in the mainstream music industry. Annatoria’s victory symbolizes a significant step forward for gospel artists globally, as her music continues to touch hearts and inspire listeners worldwide.

Annatoria’s rise to fame began with her victory on The Voice UK in 2020. Under the mentorship of Olly Murs, her powerful renditions, including a memorable performance of Robbie Williams' “Angels,” resonated with the audience and paved the way for her future in music.

In 2021, she released her debut album Count My Blessings, which features the uplifting single “I Smile.” This album reflected her commitment to spreading positivity through music, blending elements of R&B, Afrobeats, pop, and gospel to create a unique sound that connects with diverse audiences.

Born Blessing Annatoria Chitapa in Harare, Zimbabwe, Annatoria moved to Dudley, West Midlands at the age of seven. Growing up in a faith-centered home with both parents serving as pastors, Annatoria was immersed in gospel music from an early age.

Influenced by icons like Tasha Cobbs, Donnie McClurkin, and Kierra Sheard, she developed a passion for using her voice as a vessel to spread the gospel.
