Robbers pounced on a shop located along Shepherton Road in Graniteside, which is owned by Tristan Ali Mohamed, and sole US$50 000.

Mohamed, 27, reportedly closed his shop and went home on Friday but when he returned on Monday, he discovered that someone had entered the shop through a window, forcibly broken into three secured safes, and stole the money.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the incident in a statement:

“Police are investigating a robbery case involving US$50 000 that was stolen at a company along Shepherton Road in Graniteside.

Police appealed to anyone with information to report any nearest police station.
