Caledonia land barons warned of impending reckoning

Zanu PF has warned land barons in the Caledonia area who continue to scam money from homesekers

"Let me take this opportunity to warn all the land barons to immediately stop taking people’s money as this is against the law. Whoever has been engaging in fleecing the residents of their hard-earned cash will soon rot in jail. Such practices are letting us down as we seek to win the Goromonzi South seat,” said Zanu PF Mashonaland East leadership at a campaign rally to drum up support for the party’s candidate in the February 3 by-election, Washington Zhanda, in Caledonia this Saturday.

Zhanda will battle it out against Reuben Chikudo and Stephen Chagwiza, both of the Citizens Coalition for Change party.

The by-elections come after disputed CCC secretary-general, Sengezo Tshabangu recalled some legislators from Parliament.
