Chitungwiza Man Stabs Rival to Death Over Girlfriend Dispute

 

Police in Chitungwiza have launched a manhunt for a 30-year-old man wanted in connection with a murder that occurred in Unit J, Zengeza.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police said Anxious Bhonda is being sought for allegedly stabbing Troy Chipuriro (26) following a dispute over a girlfriend.

“The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife on the hand and leg after an argument over a girlfriend,” police said in a statement. “The victim died on the spot.”

Police have appealed to members of the public to assist with information that may lead to Bhonda’s arrest.

“Anyone with information that may assist in the arrest of the suspect should report to the nearest police station,” the statement said.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Police Seek Gokwe Man Over Murder Linked to US$5 Dispute

Police are searching for a 21-year-old man in connection with a murder that occurred at Mutambisi Business Centre in Gokwe on 24 February 2026.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police said Nathan Nyoni allegedly stabbed Takudzwa Kadirongo with a sharp object following an argument over US$5.

“The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim on the chest with a sharp object following an argument over five United States dollars,” police said. “The victim died on the spot.”

Police have appealed for information that could lead to Nyoni’s arrest, urging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to come forward.

“Anyone with information is advised to contact the nearest police station,” police said.

Authorities said investigations are continuing as efforts to locate the suspect intensify.
