Cyclist killed in evening crash near Trabablas interchange

A tragic road accident claimed the life of a cyclist on Wednesday evening, December 3, just 100 meters after the Trabablas interchange along Glenorah-Chitungwiza road

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was cycling home from work at around 8 p.m. when he was struck by a kombi. Witnesses reported that the man was wearing headphones at the time of the incident, which may have affected his awareness of the oncoming vehicle.

Emergency medical services were called to the scene and arrived shortly after the crash, but the cyclist had already succumbed to his injuries. Paramedics were unable to resuscitate him.

At the time of reporting, the identity of the deceased remains unknown. Witnesses at the scene indicated that no one could immediately recognize the man, and authorities have not yet released any further details regarding his identity.

 

Police  haven’t yet disclosed any information about the  deceased and circumstances surrounding the accident or whether any charges will be laid.
