Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries founder, Walter Magaya, has been released on US$3,000 bail following a ruling by High Court Judge Justice Gibson Mandaza. Magaya had spent more than a week in custody after being arrested on rape and fraud charges.

Magaya is facing multiple counts of rape involving two complainants, as well as fraud charges linked to a multi-million-dollar housing development that allegedly failed to materialise.

His wife, Tendai Magaya, who is jointly charged with him in the fraud case, was earlier granted US$500 bail at the Magistrates’ Court.

Magaya was arrested on November 1, 2025, and had been held in custody since then prior to Wednesday’s bail decision.

He is expected to return to court on November 13, 2025.
