President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Kenyan counterpart President William Ruto will now pursue enhanced diplomatic ties anchored on expansion of trade, agriculture and investment.

The commitment was made at a meeting between President William Ruto and the Zimbabwean leader, H.E Emmerson Mnangagwa, in Dakar, Senegal.

According to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade, Zimbabwe Exports to Kenya totaled US$4.93 million in 2021 and imports from Kenya stood at US$27.18 million in the same period.

The two leaders stressed the need for African countries to trade more among themselves through the Africa Continental Free Trade Area.
