Mandla Mpofu Takes Over as Simba Bhora FC Head Coach

Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu has been appointed the new head coach of Simba Bhora FC, with the club officially unveiling the experienced tactician as the replacement for Joel Luphahla, who has since taken up a new role at FC Platinum.

Simba Bhora confirmed Mpofu’s appointment as part of their efforts to strengthen the technical bench ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The Zimbabwean mentor brings with him vast experience from both domestic and regional football, having previously coached Highlanders, Railstars , Bantu Rovers and Sua Flamingoes

Mpofu  part ways with Botswana Premier League side Sua Flamingoes where he had been in charge since June 2023. During his time in Botswana, Mpofu initially impressed enough to earn a contract extension of two additional years. However, a run of inconsistent performances eventually led to a mutual separation between the two parties in early December 2024
