Two people have been taken to court charged with having items suspected to have been stolen.

Tanaka Chaona, 18, of Mbare and a male juvenile, appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with being found in possession of property suspected to have been stolen.

They were ordered to appear in court on April 24.

The State alleges that on April 18, at around 2345 hours the complainant, ZRP officer was on patrol together with other officers and came across the accused persons.

It is alleged that Taona was carrying a satchel on his shoulders and was stopped.

When the officer searched the bag, he found one letter box cover made of copper and one meter aluminium box cover.

They were subsequently arrested and taken to the police.
