Nishyto Munyoro, who currently serves as the National Coordinator for SRAZ, has been appointed to the Squash Federation of Africa Technical Committee for the 2026–2029 term, marking a significant milestone that underscores his dedication to the growth and development of squash across the continent.

The Technical Committee is responsible for overseeing the sport’s technical and developmental aspects, including competition standards, coaching programmes and continental growth initiatives.

Munyoro’s appointment places him alongside some of the most experienced and respected figures in World Squash.

Reflecting on the honour, Munyoro said being part of the committee was both a privilege and a responsibility. He noted that the role presents an opportunity to contribute to squash at a continental level while bringing back valuable knowledge and strategies to strengthen the sport in Zimbabwe.

“Squash is more than a game. It is a platform for development, discipline and community,” he said. “I am excited to work with fellow committee members to ensure that young players across Africa have the support and opportunities they need to excel.”

Through his role as National Coordinator for Squash Rackets Association of Zimbabwe, Munyoro has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing squash at the domestic level. With a continental perspective now added to his portfolio, he aims to help foster initiatives that enhance standards, organise competitions and strengthen coaching and development programmes across Africa.

The Squash Federation of Africa Technical Committee plays a central role in driving the sport’s growth on the continent, and Munyoro’s appointment signals a promising era of collaboration, expertise and progress.

As he embarks on this new chapter, the African squash community is expected to benefit from innovative strategies, expanded opportunities and the continued nurturing of talent.

“I look forward to learning from my peers on the committee, sharing our experiences and bringing back insights that will help elevate squash at home,” Munyoro said, outlining his vision for the sport’s future.
