A 28-year-old man from Sunningdale 2, Tafadzwa Bosha, has appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of robbery in connection with a break-in at an industrial property in Westlea.

The complainant in the case is Vice Mode Engineering Limited, represented by Lawrence Fakamari.

Prosecutors allege that on October 10, Bosha and six accomplices — who are still at large — gained access to the company’s premises at Number 10020, Westlea Industrial Park.

According to the State, the group used a bolt cutter to breach the property, scaled a precast wall, and assaulted two security guards on duty, Misheck Mubaiwa and Takunda Mugodhi.

The suspects allegedly used an iron bar to force open a kitchen door leading to the offices, where they stole several items including a 9kg Cadac gas tank, a cordless drill, panners, and groceries, before fleeing the scene.

A police report was later filed at ZRP Mabelreign, prompting investigations.

On October 23, police received a tip-off that a man identified as Tryvy Madhlaxzi, residing in Majubheki, Mbare, was in possession of a Redmi 12 cellphone suspected to be linked to the robbery.

Madhlaxzi was interviewed by detectives and reportedly provided information that led to Bosha’s arrest. Bosha was subsequently charged with robbery.

He has been remanded in custody and is expected to return to court on October 29, 2025, for further proceedings.
