Supreme Court Judge Justice Feliciah Chatukuta has died. She was 63.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) confirmed her passing in a statement, noting that she died in Harare on Saturday, 22 November 2025. Mourners are gathered at 18 Lower Hampden Road, Marlborough, and funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

Justice Chatukuta served the judiciary for nearly two decades. She was appointed to the High Court in August 2005, later rising to the Supreme Court on 3 June 2021. Before joining the bench, she worked as a Public Prosecutor, a part-time law lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, and later as Director of the Legal Aid Directorate.

Chatukuta’s death marks another loss of a veteran jurist in 2025.

The JSC, led by Chief Justice Luke Malaba, expressed condolences to the Chatukuta family, saying their thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult period.
