The Harare Magistrates’ Court has sentenced two women from Kuwadzana, Tadiwanashe Kiss ,22, and Nandi Kiss ,31, to three years in prison for unlawfully dealing in dangerous drugs—dagga.

On June 27, 2025, police received a tip-off about the possession of dagga in Kuwadzana Extension.

Following surveillance, detectives arrested Tadiwanashe, a saleslady at a vegetable market stall, after finding a ball of shrink-wrapped dagga in her black satchel.

Tadiwanashe later implicated Nandi, alleging that she had sent her to deliver the contraband. This led to Nandi’s arrest at her Warren Park 1 residence.

The recovered dagga weighed 2.2 kilograms and had an estimated street value of US$210.

The court initially imposed a four-year jail term, but one year was suspended for five years on condition of good behavior, leaving both women to serve an effective three-year sentence.
