Timba And Co-accused further remanded in custody

Politician, Jameson Timba and his co-accused have been denied bail by the Harare Magistrates' court.

They were remanded in custody to July 10, 2024.

The accused persons are facing charges of participating in a gathering with the intent to promote violence, breaches of peace and disorderly conduct.

The State alleges that on June 16, 2024, at around 1400hours, police received information to the effect than an unsanctioned gathering was underway at a house in Strathaven, Harare.

The unsanctioned gathering was reportedly for the purposes of an unlawful demonstration. The police proceeded to the residence to investigate. 


They are being represented by Agency Gumbo, Lazurus Mbereko, Jeremiah Bamu and Webster Jiti.
