Liverpool teenager Trey Nyoni has been handed a major boost to his career, earning a place in the Reds' senior squad for their upcoming pre-season tour of the United States.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who only joined the club last summer from Leicester City, has impressed coaches with his performances for the youth team and has been rewarded with a spot in the 28-man party set to jet off to America. Liverpool will face Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United during their tour.
The midfielder has already made his senior debut for the Reds, coming on as a substitute in the FA Cup earlier this season.
Meanwhile, there was disappointment for full-back Isaac Mabaya, who has been omitted from the squad. The defender has endured a frustrating campaign, plagued by a series of injuries that have disrupted his progress. His latest setback came in April, just weeks after returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
As Liverpool look to build momentum for the new season, the pre-season tour offers an opportunity for both established stars and promising youngsters to impress. The club will be hoping for strong performances from their squad as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
