The Chinese Loving Mom team, accompanied by a delegation from China, recently visited the Hosanna Love in Africa Children's Home to reaffirm their commitment to supporting the orphanage. The delegation, which included Dr. Du and Professor An Nzng, brought gifts for the children, including candies donated by Professor An Nzng's daughter, Chole.
Founded in 2016 by the late Mr. Aruferi and the Chinese Loving Mom team, Hosanna Love in Africa Children's Home provides a safe and nurturing environment for displaced individuals, particularly children. The orphanage is supported by the Chinese Loving Mom team and several anonymous Chinese individuals.
To meet the educational needs of the children, the Chinese Loving Mom team built a classroom block for Early Childhood Development up to Grade 7. Many children from the local community attend school at Hosanna Love, paying a nominal fee of $30 per month.
The orphanage is managed by the Aruferi family, with Munashe C Aruferi serving as the Director, her sister Sharon A Aruferias as the administrator, and their mother overseeing all aspects of care. Despite facing challenges such as a fire in 2019 and a previous incident where the school's roofing sheets were blown off by strong winds, the orphanage has persevered.
The Chinese Loving Mom team shared their vision of expanding the orphanage to accommodate more children and establishing a Zimbabwean-Chinese translator to facilitate communication. They also emphasized the positive impact Hosanna Love has on both the children and the local community, providing essential necessities like water and food.
Ms. Carrie, a dedicated supporter of the orphanage, expressed her commitment to the children's education. She revealed that she has been funding Munashe's education from high school to university and plans to bring him to China to learn the Chinese language.
