Former Gokwe Town Council and Finance director, Joconia Nyoni has died.
Nyoni died on Monday morning at his residence in Green Valley.
Nyoni died while approaching retirement as the finance director of the council, while he once acted as Town secretary in 2023.
Confirming the sad news, town chairman, Lisias Mutegwe said, “It is with great loss to us council because he served the local authority for many years and he was approaching his retirement. God has done his will and there is nothing we can do.”
Funeral arrangements will be disclosed after family consultations.
