Karoi United fans have filed a petition for investigation into the conduct of centre referee, Mathew Fingo to Zifa and the Referees Association, citing bad officiating and alleged match-fixing as the proponents leading  to the abandoning of their weekend tie against Scotland.

The fans have demanded that the responsible authorities look into Dingo’s conduct, review events leading to the abandonment of the match, implementation of a suitable punishment for Dingo if found guilty of biased officiating and match-fixing and review of measures to prevent future incidents of the same Cali related.

It is in their demands that they feel their team was unfairly targeted in the 1-1 stalemate with Dingo siding with Sakupwanya’s Scotland FC, leading to the violent clashes that occurred.

Zifa nor the Referee Association have responded to the petition, leaving Dingo’s fate all up in the air, while the anthem remains ‘#justicefor KaroiFC’.

One fan wrote, "It's such bad officiating that makes Zimbabwean football a laughing stock. We've lost points to lowly ranked teams like Trojan and Zambezi without incident. Why would we resort to violence after holding log leaders Scotland FC to a draw?"

Another waded in saying, "We're not violent fans. We just want fair play. If referees are compromised, how can we trust the league's integrity?"
