Young Moguls Mixer: A Dynamic Networking Hub for Rising Young Entrepreneurs

Business networking plays a crucial role in the growth and success of young entrepreneurs. It provides them with valuable opportunities to connect, collaborate, and learn from experienced professionals in their industry.

“I remember this one time when I was having a breakfast meeting with a friend of mine and she was telling me how she feels left out every-time she attends networking events where there are a lot of older people.

Nicole Kundai Duma, 25, founded the Young Moguls Mixer as a response to the many times young people feel inexperienced when interacting with older businessmen and women who have made it in the corporate world during networking events.

The YMM is a series of events where young people get together and engage, exchanging business ideas, mentorship and guidance, and fostering collaboration and partnerships.

“So, that is when I thought about having networking events for young people where they can share ideas. So, YMM is an experience for young people to meet and share business ideas.

“It is easier for young people who are going through the same experiences to share ideas and motivate each other.

Nicole says by actively participating in networking events, young entrepreneurs can expand their professional network, gain access to new resources and knowledge, and establish mutually beneficial relationships.

“My hope is that it provides young professionals with the opportunity to interact with peers who share their experience and are working towards becoming the next big names in business, instilling in them confidence to further develop their personal brands.

“I want Young Mogus Mixer to become a go-to networking event for young people and that it becomes a success story for many young people. At YMM, we do not only want people with businesses but you find that there are a lot of young people with ideas but probably think their ideas won’t work out. But you will find that if you meet other young people who are just starting out, you will get ideas and motivation to try your ideas.

She advises young people to pray, be productive, prioritise important things and to pursue dreams relentlessly.

“My biggest advice first of all is to pray. Pray about what you want to do, if you have an idea or if you are confused to God about it. Write down what you are thinking and it is not always recommended to share your ideas to people, so it might be wise to share it with someone trustworthy, maybe someone older who can give you direction on what to do.

“If you are not employed, do something, nomatter how small it is or read a book and something new rather than to be idle. Your personality is also important in business and employment, as a young person you should not be grumpy and complaining always- show positivity.”

“Be the best version of yourself- we can have people telling us how good we are, or what we should do, but ultimately it is on you as an individual. Know what you want in life and do it well because you are the only one who can define the best version of yourself,” Nicole added.

Nicole is a Master of Ceremony, “I love talking, so I do a lot of talking,” she says with a chuckle.

She is also a keynote speaker, she is also into professional grooming and etiquette and currently, she is the Executive Assistant for Visionary For Client Solutions.
