The Confederation of African Football announced a substantial increase in its investment in football development for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. This significant boost aims to further enhance the growth and competitiveness of African football on the global stage.

One of the key highlights of the increased investment is the doubling of CAF Subvention to Member Associations. From $200,000 per Member Association in 2020-2021, the subvention has been raised to $400,000 per MA in 2024-2025. This substantial increase will provide valuable resources to MAs to support their football development initiatives.

In addition, CAF Subvention to Zones has also received a significant boost. The allocation to each Zone has been increased from $500,000 in 2020-2021 to $750,000 in 2024-2025. This will empower Zones to implement targeted development programs and enhance football infrastructure within their respective regions.

CAF has also introduced a new measure to support clubs participating in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup. The $50,000 allowance that was previously provided to clubs eliminated in the preliminary stages of these competitions has been eliminated. This decision is aimed at streamlining the financial support provided to clubs and ensuring a more equitable distribution of resources.
