The Zimbabwean football community was left in shock today after news broke that CAPS United Marketing Manager and beloved former star, Alois 'Zola' Bunjira, was involved in a fatal car accident. Bunjira was rushed to Rusape General Hospital following the crash, which occurred around 10 am today, approximately 8 kilometers from Rusape along the Rusape-Nyanga Road.

Reports indicate that Bunjira, who was heading to his rural home in Honde Valley, was on a mission to certify the route for his ambitious Honde Valley Marathon. His goal is to make the event a qualifier for the prestigious Comrades Marathon, a significant step for Zimbabwean long-distance running.

While the exact cause of the accident is still being investigated, sources close to the situation confirmed that the retired football legend is alive and receiving medical attention. Though he is said to be "feeling better," he is understandably shocked and experiencing trauma from the harrowing ordeal.
