A bombshell has rocked the Zimbabwean football community, as a purported FIFA letter addressing the nomination of Mr. Nqobile Magwizi for the presidency of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has been exposed as fake. The letter, dated January 10, 2014, claims to acknowledge a complaint regarding Magwizi's nomination, but a closer examination reveals a multitude of red flags.

Firstly, the letter lacks a signature, a glaring omission that raises suspicions about its authenticity. Furthermore, the letter fails to copy in key stakeholders, including ZIFA, the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC), and the Confederation of African Football (CAF). This oversight is puzzling, given the significance of the matter at hand.

Another anomaly is the lack of sitting dates and the fact that the letter does not address anyone specifically. These are basic procedural requirements that are typically observed in official correspondence.

But perhaps the most damning evidence of the letter's falsity is the fact that it refers the matter to the FIFA Ethics Committee, chaired by Mr. Martin Ngoga, who conveniently becomes the writer of the letter. This blatant conflict of interest is a clear indication that the letter is a fabrication.

In light of these findings, it is clear that the purported FIFA letter is nothing more than a cleverly crafted hoax.
